From the ground Up: Groupon

Speaking of great deals......

http://image3.examiner.com/images/blog/EXID30067/images/groupon.png

Every one loves a great deal right? If you heard about a great deal somewhere in your community, chances are it was by word of mouth when and if your friends got around to telling you. What if you had an automatic friend that told you about great deals in your area that you could buy on your phone, or at home on your computer, the moment the deal was announced? Well look no further for that friend because their name is Groupon.

Groupon.com is a great free tool for the general public to use to find great deals in their area. So you don't have to go searching through the paper to look for a great deal because it will come to you! Say a coffee shop offered a "buy a 20$ gift card and receive a free 5$ drink" deal that was only offered to people who purchased the deal through groupon! Groupon will send out that deal to millions of people, those people in turn can purchase the coupon offered to them via their phones/e mail address/computer, then Groupon takes a percentage from the amount of coupons that were purchased by the general public. People get a great deal, and the business gets a lot more attention.

I love finding these new companies that really help people in their business and help make things convenient for every one!
If you are not signed up with Groupon I suggest you do because a great deal is just a click away!

From the ground Up: FourSquare

Why everyone should be on FourSquare.
http://madeinmiamimusic.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/foursquare.pngwww.foursquare.com

What if there was a tool that could help people receive a lot of information, let people know about great deals on products, and allow people to have fun while doing it. Enter the growing world of FourSquare. This company saw the huge potential of people turning away from their televisions, and mostly radio, to their mobile phones. They created a free tool for the public to know more about their community. From events to restaurants, coupon's and deals, foursquare is a place you need to be connected to! But some of you may be asking the question "why?". Imagine if you listed your business, or homes that you were selling, on foursquare that allowed the public to find you, receive a deal, earn points, and let others know about the deal just for using a free tool that they are connected to already? You like the word free don't you? I sure do! Especially if it is free with no strings attached!

To take the chance and list a home on foursquare will not make you loose anything at all. It will, however, let a lot of other people know about where your house is, what deal you are offering, and what you are able to give them just for "checking in" to where you are! A tool, such as foursquare, is very valuable to you and the general public. To help grow your business and allow people to have fun helping you grow your business is something you cannot turn down. But don't forget that there are a lot of other great free tools out there, but foursquare is one that you need to be paying a lot of attention to!

From the ground Up: Garden Home

A home that is made out of part garden? Makes sense.

If you were in a hot country almost all year round like Singapore or Australia, you would know that your house gets pretty hot. You invest in a lot of fans and air conditioners and hope that the heat will stay away as much as possible. You try to keep the bugs and huge spiders out, but for some reason they always find their way in. From experience in living in Australia, I know that it is impossible to keep the bugs and heat away all the time, so why not embrace it? Well, with this home you can. You will get a chance to stay cool in both times of the day, just not air-con cool. And the bugs, well, that's the part you cannot get away from regardless.
The House With the Garden WallsThe House With the Garden Walls
This home comes with garden walls, and a lot of open spaces. I know that it may not be as comfortable for some of you, but the idea is something that makes sense. Sure not every one in the block has it, but I could see something like this becoming popular in no time at all.
The House With the Garden Walls There is no price listing for this house, but I can imagine that it would not cost that much because there is not much to it!

From the ground Up: Amazing home

The most amazing home you would ever sell!

Cheshire, England: If you could ever build a home that would be completely under ground and make the most amazing home ever to be sold, you would make it happen in England. This subterranean home has been in the building process for awhile and has apparently been on the radar of many footballers in the U.K. because it will serve a great purpose in keeping the private life private. Not only is this 2 story, 3 bedroom house being built 50 feet under ground, it comes with a water slide from the master bedroom to the main pool. Just awesome! This “Earth Home” will use up to 75% less energy needed to run a home, have a state of the art super kitchen, gym, jacuzzi, swimming pool, and a dome window above the living room which will provide it’s natural source of light.

Eco-friendly: One of the three bedrooms in the planned Bowdon house. The developer claims it will require up to 75 per cent less fossil fuel than a regular family home

From the ground Up:Iphone App

iPhone.App.
3G.Free calls.Awesome!

For the first time ever, Apple has allowed an internet phone company to
be used over 3G. “What does that mean?”, you might ask. Well, it means
that if you have a data plan on your iPhone, you can now make free calls
to the U.S. and Canada without having to use your daytime minutes, or be connected to a wifi source! Let me say that again, FOR FREE! No monthly fee. No cost per minute. Just sign up when you get the app from the app store and choose the “add version”. It will make a call to a U.S. number to register your cell number in its data base, and your done! When you want to make a call, just open up the app, dial the number, and away you go. Other numbers will see your cell number if they have caller ID. The quality is not crystal clear, and you do have to listen to an add before the call goes through, but your calls from now on are free anytime day or night! If you have a good data plan ( 1gig and above ) your good to go! If you do not have a good data plan on your iPhone, you might want to look into it because it is worth it. If you do not have an iPhone, it might be a good time to get that upgrade you have been holding off for a long time and get one. Or just go out and buy one.
